Time ratio between TON and T  is varied. this is realized in 2 different strategies

• Constant frequency
• variable frequency

8.What is variable frequency scheme?

In this scheme, either TON (or) TOFF  is kept constant and the chopping period (T) is variable. This method is  called freq modulation scheme.The chopping  frequency has to be  varied over a wide range  for the control of voltage. filter design is quit difficult.
